Scuba Gear - Full Rental Package

1. Package Contents & Eligibility

• Our Full Scuba Gear Rental Package typically includes a BCD, Regulator Set, Mask, Snorkel, Booties, Fins, and Weights.
• You must hold a valid Open Water Diver certification (or higher) and present proof at rental.

 

2. Equipment Use & Responsibility

• You are responsible for using all equipment safely and appropriately, consistent with standard diving practices. Treat the gear with care, including rinsing it with fresh water after each use and avoiding damage.
• Perform a pre-dive check and immediately report any malfunction, damage, or issue to dive staff. Do not attempt repairs.

 

3. Damage, Loss, & Replacement Costs

• You are solely responsible for any damage to or loss of the rented equipment, regardless of fault. Replacement costs are based on new equipment values and will be charged for damaged or lost items.

Estimated Replacement Costs (New Equipment Value):

• BCD: $800 - $1,200
• Regulator Set (full): $1,000 - $1,800
• Mask: $50 - $100
• Snorkel: $25 - $50
• Fins (pair): $100 - $200
• Weight System (per lb or item): $5 - $100 (depending on weight/integrated pouch)

You must pay for any damages or losses promptly upon notification. We reserve the right to charge the credit card on file.

 

4. Returns & Cleaning

• Return all rental gear immediately after your final scheduled dive activity. Equipment should be rinsed with fresh water before return. Excessive dirt or neglect may incur an additional cleaning fee.
• Late returns without prior arrangement will incur a $50 per day late fee, up to the full replacement cost.

 

5. Disclaimer

• While we maintain all equipment to high standards, diving carries inherent risks. We are not responsible for injuries or accidents resulting from equipment malfunction, misuse, or failure to follow safe diving practices.

6. Acceptance of Terms
By completing checkout, I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and agree to the terms of this policy, including my responsibilities for equipment care and the stated replacement costs for damage or loss.

• Bootie sizing is listed in Men's sizes
• BCD sizing is unisex
• Fin size will be determined by bootie size

 

Buyer is responsible for selecting weight needed

• Guidelines: Weight(lbs) x 5% plus add 5lbs for saltwater diving without a wetsuit (round up to even number if needed)
• Wetsuits will require more weight
• Freshwater diving will need less weight
• Please call us if you have questions! Our staff will be able to help you determine the appropriate weight needed for your dive

ex: Jim weighs 160lbs and will be diving in saltwater, no wetsuit. The calculations would be 160 x 0.05 = 8lbs. Add 5lbs = 13lbs. Weight needs to be an even number so we round up. Jim will need 14lbs.
