What a Splash! Recapping Our Empowering Women's Dive Day Event!

Wow, what an incredible weekend! Here at Scuba Station of Panama City, FL, we're still buzzing with excitement from our special Women's Dive Day event. It was truly an empowering day filled with discovery, community, and unforgettable underwater adventures!

Ladies who participated in Discover Scuba sessions and open water dives!

We were absolutely thrilled by the turnout, proving that the spirit of adventure knows no age limit! Our youngest ladies, at just 12 years old, fearlessly took the plunge into their very first Discover Scuba sessions. Their enthusiasm was contagious, and it was a joy to see them embrace the underwater world with such confidence, and an underwater game of rock, paper, scissors.

But it wasn't just about first-timers! We also welcomed a few wonderful women who were previously certified but hadn't bubbled in at least a decade. They joined us for a much-needed "refresher" on what it felt like to breathe underwater, and it was fantastic to see them rediscover their love for diving. For all our Discover Scuba participants, we ensured they had everything they needed, providing all rental equipment to make their experience seamless and fun.

A huge shout-out goes to our fantastic female dive instructor, Roni W., who led these inspiring sessions with expertise and a beaming smile! It's always a special experience to learn from passionate female role models in the dive community.

The day wasn't just for those trying scuba for the first time. We also had a wonderful turnout of certified divers who came to join the fun! This included a diver who had just earned her Open Water certification the previous weekend – talk about jumping right back in! We even had a Divemaster in-training honing her skills and contributing to the incredible energy of the day.

We kept everyone fueled with light snacks, refreshing Gatorade, and plenty of water. And for a little extra excitement? Many of our ladies got to be the very first to try out some of our brand new gear from HOG Scuba – including our new dive booties and fins! Talk about making a splash in style!

Across the board, everyone did ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! The smiles and excitement, both in and out of the water, were truly heartwarming.

The day even caught the attention of WJHG-TV, who made a surprise visit! Our very own Co-Owner and Lead Instructor, Aaron Goodloe, gave an insightful interview, and we were so proud to see newly certified Open Water Diver, Christy M., share her personal diving experience on camera.

Even though the visibility wasn't at its absolute best, our divers still had incredible encounters! They spotted schools of tropical fish, a huge red fish, curious hermit crabs, fascinating batfish, and even a graceful southern stingray! It just goes to show that there's always something amazing to see when you dive in Panama City, FL.

We are truly thrilled by the overwhelming turnout and the positive energy everyone brought. This Women's Dive Day has inspired us, and we're already looking forward to planning next year's event to make it even bigger and better!
