Supervised Scuba Diver
Introduction to open water diver, limited to 40ft and must be with an instructor for all dives
*ALL RENTAL SCUBA GEAR IS INCLUDED! ** This is NOT an Open Water Diver certification Duration: 1-2 days Prerequisites Minimum age 18, 10 with parental consent Introduction This course is designed to give students the necessary skills to conduct open water dives in conditions similar to their training under the direct supervision of a qualified and active dive professional. Topics Covered: History of Diving The Aquatic Environment Marine life injuries Physics & Physiology Scuba Equipment Planning Your Dive Upon successful graduation of this course: Participate in dives under the direct supervision of a qualified and active dive professional to depths of 12 metres / 40 feet that do not require decompression, in conditions similar to their training. Appropriate surface support must be available. Dive in groups of no more than four Supervised Divers per instructor. Enroll in the SDI Open Water Scuba Diver Course. If the diver enrolls in the Open Water Scuba Diver Course within 12 months of certification as a Supervised Diver, they may follow the Supervised Diver Upgrade Procedure. 2 Open Water Dives are Required for Course Graduation **If there are no upcoming sessions available, please call or email us to schedule your course.
