Okaloosa Island Pier Clean-Up Dive | Dive with Scuba Station
Divers only get to dive the Okaloosa Island Pier twice a year. This year's Summer Pier Clean-Up event is your opportunity to dive this world-famous pier and take part in a community effort to clean up our beaches and waters.

About the event
The Okaloosa Island Pier in Destin, FL is closed off to divers except for 2x a year for the pier clean-up events! This pier is world-famous for its abundant marine life and high population of tiger sharks. Scuba Station of Panama City invites you to come dive this event with us! Geared towards experienced scuba divers, this event aims to remove fishing line and debris from the pier pilings and seafloor, helping to preserve our coastal environment.
This event is hosted by Okaloosa Island Pier and Ocean Hour Okaloosa.
From the event hosts...
To participate, divers must bring or show their certification cards with them, sign up on the registration page ahead of the event, and sign a liability waiver. The event will begin with a check-in at 6:00AM, followed by a safety meeting at 6:30AM. Once the briefing is complete, divers will hit the water at 7:00AM to start the cleanup. Schedule: 6:00 am - Check-in 6:30am - Safety briefing 7:00am - Dive! 9:00 am - All divers must be out of the water Divers are required to checkout once they have completed their dive and exited the water. Divers must bring their own dive gear, tank, weights, cutting utensil (dive knife, shears, etc.) and current dive certification card. Mesh bags will be provided and a limited number of Zookeepers will be available to use for trash collection.

Can’t dive but still want to help? No Problem! Ocean Hour Okaloosa will be hosting a Beach Cleanup alongside our Pier Cleanup Dive. See below for details:
8:00-9:00 AM. Beach Cleanup
Registration will happen onsite.
Please wear closed-toed shoes and sunscreen and bring water.
All cleanup supplies and equipment (gloves, grabbers, buckets, bags) will be provided by Ocean Hour.
Beach Cleanup will be canceled if it is raining or there is thunder and lightning.
